Opinion: What we remember of Fencing at the Olympics [Guest Post]

Ours is certainly an unforgiving sport in which, despite the technology, the ruling of a referee remains all-important. DW

If you recall, Shin A-Lam was left disconsolate on the fencing piste in a technical protest after the deciding hit of a knockout bout went to the opponent, thanks to a poor bit of timekeeping by officials.
