Today is Pi Day, a celebration of the mathematical constant in the colonies. It is today because the date is 14/3 which in the colonies is written 3/14 (3.14… 159 26535 89793 23846 26433 83279 50… ad nauseam).
Sometimes it falls on a Friday, then it’s ‘Pi Day Friday’ but this year it is a Thursday.
It’s never as exciting as Pancake Day, which is the day we celebrate aeroplanes (or airplanes) landing without undercarriage (landing gear) down.
NB: The Colonies is a pub in London (England).
