I’d avoided trying this one for some time simply because I’d been put off by the Britney association [the downside of advertising via a specific celebrity image?] and the very VERY pink and sparkly bottle, but on testing found that underneath lurks an attractive Elizabeth Arden-created scent. It’s clearly aimed at young girls, but is surprisingly more sophisticated than the marketing would suggest.
A fruity, edible start quickly gives way to an intriguing middle note described as ‘cupcakes,’ which might explain the sugary sweet and lightly spicy effect – not overpowering, with a buttercreamy note too that’s very appealing. Down at base, the musk, orris and wood notes balance out that sweetness, giving it depth and good staying power . Several days later the tester card still had a lovely clean fresh bubbly scent that I can only describe as ‘clean hair perfume’!
